The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides daily resident care that is person-centered by customizing care as much as possible based on individualized resident needs and values. The CNA takes into consideration each resident’s ability to make own choices and having control over his/her daily lives. The CNA works under the direction of the RN/LPN and assists the nursing team in maintaining the nursing and resident units. Duties may include but are not limited to: bathing, feeding, passing trays, making beds, assisting with ambulation, I & O, weights, and vital signs. The CNA is responsible for charting any care given to the resident. The CNA is expected to follow the instructions issued by the physician or licensed nurse according to established policies and procedures. The CNA is responsible for assisting and serving residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort. A CNA under 18 years of age is NOT allowed to use any mechanical lift for resident care.

Requirements:
Valid CNA License in State of Indiana
BLS/CPR Certification
Previous Senior Living experience preferred
